''I Am You and You Are Me''

by Michael Corthell What does my statement 'I am you, and you are me', mean? It means to me that we, you and I, as well as all living beings, are functions of, and manifestations of the entirety of the Universe and therefore are of the same 'ONE spirit' - a spirit that not only permeates but is the first cause and driving force of the Universe.  In short we and all there is - the entire mass and energy of the Cosmos are expressions of the Universe itself and this is what is meant by 'holy'. “Every individual is a unique manifestation of the Whole[or the One], as every branch is a particular outreaching of the tree.” – Alan Watts If you agree or at least find this concept of a single uniting spirit of the Cosmos intriguing please contact me, either via direct message on social media. In the video below my mentor, the late Alan Watts explains further:   ''I am you and you are me. All is ONE, We are ONE.'' You see the universe is one single living

How to Find Peace Through Acceptance | Living Life On Life's Terms

by Michael Corthell Each and every day may not be good, but there’s something good in each and every day. Start with that realization and build on it. How do we accept what happens in life? Is life just a random series of events? If it is not, who controls and guides these events? God, the first cause of all events is in charge of course. If you are a person of Faith, you may have prayed this serenity prayer or a version of it: ''God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.'' Find solutions instead of complaining. It is complete foolishness to complain about things all the time. Negative people drain everyone around them, and complaining won't change your situation for the better. Some feel that it helps, but it does not. It only sets up a negative mindset. Don't waste your time and energy complaining. Use wisdom and understanding by being proact

The Nature of Sound and Silence

Sound: a vibration (wave) that travels through a transmission medium such as air or water. by Michael Corthell ''There are a lot of similarities between music and surfing. There's a rhythm to both of them and with sound waves and ocean waves, you see patterns, plus the breathing is all part of it.''  - Jon Foreman I have described previously the symbolic meaning of colors, which was fairly straight forward. The nature and meaning of sound symbolism is a bit less known and more difficult to describe. Color and sound are both transmitted on '' waves .'' In the case of sound, these waves are mechanical and require a medium for transmission, some type of molecular structure, like water or gas. These sound waves propagate via air molecules colliding with their neighbors, while color is transmitted on electromagnetic waves, radiation .  This type of wave or oscillation uses electrical and magnetic fields originally generated by charged particle
