Thought (Consciousness): The Intangible Force of Creation

by Michael Corthell The writer/poet Ella Wheeler Wilcox gave evidence of her understanding of the supreme, intangible force of the subconscious mind in this verse: “You never can tell what a thought will do In bringing you hate or love— For thoughts are things, and their airy wings Are swifter than carrier doves. They follow the law of the universe— Each thing creates its kind, And they speed O’er the track to bring you back Whatever went out from your mind.” Yes, the greatest intangible force in the Universe is thought. A THOUGHT. Thinking about possible positive outcomes will create IDEAS (thoughts) that lead to positive results. Period.   ''And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.'' —Genesis 1:3 God allowed light to enter into being. Even for God to do so required a thought. ONE thought. The singularity. We, being created by Him, in His image (a representation) use the very same formula to manifest matter. We tran

The Top 20 Self-Healing Affirmations for 2023!

by Michael Corthell Before we get to the top 20 self-healing affirmations let's look at why positive self-healing affirmations work! Positive self-healing affirmations work because they not only help to shift our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs in a positive direction, they help drive out negative thoughts as well. According to Rhonda Britten , affirmations work best when combined with acknowledgments because they build up a backlog of results in one's mind to prove that one can do what one is affirming. For example, the acknowledgment "I bought a good pair of sneakers and some gym clothes" could complement the affirmation "I can reach my goal of losing 20 pounds." The goal is to focus on steps one has taken toward accomplishing one's goals rather than criticizing oneself for what one has not yet accomplished, or could theoretically have accomplished but did not. The Golden Rule: A Secret in Plain Sight

The Golden Rule is a primary precept in nearly all major religions. It is also the foundational rule in both veganism and resourceism . by Michael Corthell The Golden Rule The Golden Rule is the principle or precept of treating others as one wants to be treated. It is a precept that is found in most religions and cultures. It can be considered an ethic of reciprocity in some religions, although different religions treat it differently. The maxim may appear in a positive or negative form governing conduct: Treat others as you would like others to treat you (positive or directive form) Do not treat others in ways that you would not like to be treated (negative or prohibitive form) What you wish upon others, you wish upon yourself (empathetic or responsive form) Moses and Aaron with the Ten Commandments (painting circa 1675 by Aron de Chavez) The Golden Rule Sums Up The Ten Commandments I Am the Lord your God. You shall not have strange gods before me. You shall not make to thyself any

How To Create a Healthy, Happy Life

by Michael Corthell Many people have trouble sticking with their good, healthy habits because they don’t follow a morning routine or don't have a 'system' for doing them. It's easy to forget about a new routine when your day is full. Fortunately, I have a simple suggestion to help solve this problem. If you start following a simple routine every morning, you’ll create a short ritual. You will complete several small good habits that will set you up for creating an organized day. Step by step. I call it a routine/routine. Following a system when you first wake up, means that you’ll have more time to think in a quiet atmosphere and it allows you to be organized for the rest of the day. This daily 'habit routine' helps you create energy and the right mindset to take on the work of a busy day. Before you start going through this menu please remember that getting up early is a habit that almost all successful people follow.  As Benjamin Franklin
