Wise Choices: Good Decision Making

by Michael Corthell

We make decisions every day, some consciously, and some sub-consciously. Each one of them has a consequence, some very small, some very noticeable, and some not so noticeable, but some are really big — mind-blowing — even earth shattering in their importance. Sometimes when we choose a certain path we don't know where it will lead.

Sometimes we make decisions easily, at other times they can be very difficult. Still at other times we are forced to make them quickly to avoid losing an opportunity or even risk losing our lives. Most people don't know what effect they're having on their own futures by the nature of these decisions.

''Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.''
— Robert Frost

Most times, we go through our lives blind to our own thoughts and what actions we are about to take.

Every single decision we make forms our reality. It creates our reality because we follow through with them, sometimes without even realizing it.

How can we make sound, conscious decisions?

Realize the tremendous power of decision making. Before you start making a decision, you have to understand the possible consequences.

Go with your gut-feeling (most of the time).  Learn to trust your feelings. Almost always, your first instinct is the one that is correct and ends up being your first intention.

Take action. When you make a decision, act on it. Commit to the decision. Procrastination is the biggest cause of failure.

Tell family and friends about your decisions. Sometimes before, sometimes after. People like surprises but maybe you need some qualification or back up from the folks who know you best.

Learn from all the decisions you have made and will make. What can I learn from it so I can make a better decision next time? Remember, don’t put so much weight on short term effects; instead focus on the long term successes.

Have fun making decisions (most of the time). I add that qualifier because most decisions have serious and far reaching consequences, but we can enjoy the process. Decision making might not be the most fun thing to do, but it can and often is, a game of opportunity.

Everything you decide to do can have a profound effect later on. Opportunities are always waiting for you. Examine all the decisions that you make everyday. Your power to choose can never be stolen from you. It can be abused, neglected and ignored, but if used properly, it can and will make all the difference.

Choose wisely, choose carefully.

Veganism, Albert Einstein and ''The Connected Universe''

"We are spiritually interconnected, part of a unified whole. There are no 'others,' only One, from which all emanates." Michael Corthell Albert Einstein is one of the most famous figures in history. He was a scientist known for his formula, E=MC(2). Einstein was a vegetarian during the last years of his life, although he had supported the idea for a long time. In a letter to Max Kariel he said, "I have always eaten animal flesh with a somewhat guilty conscience," and soon after became a vegetarian. Einstein's famous quote: "Nothing will benefit health or increase chances of survival  on earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." and further commenting... ''A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delus

A SIMPLIFIED Guide to Manifest Anything You Desire

"Embrace New Thought principles in a concise journey toward manifestation. Align your desires with purpose, weaving simplicity and intention into a tapestry of fulfillment. Manifest wisely, manifest consciously." Michael Corthell Following these three fundamental steps will set you on the path to achieving the life you've always envisioned and accomplishing your desired goals. The primary component in manifesting any desire is faith or belief that the desire is ALREADY in existence, plus feeling the joy and gratitude associated with the realization of the desire fulfilled. 1. Be clear on what you want What’s your goal? Is it about spending more time with your family? Is it about having more money? Do you want more power or control over your life? More happiness? The number one rule in manifesting what you want is to know exactly what you want. 2. Visualize what you desire Picture where you want to be, how you want to be, or what you desire. Be very specific about this. Ma
