The Path to Healing: Embracing Time, Courage, and Faith

"Within the passage of time lies the potential for healing, but true restoration requires the courage to face our wounds and the faith to believe in our own resilience." Michael Corthell Healing oneself is a complex journey that necessitates faith, the passage of time, and the acknowledgment of certain undeniable truths. One such truth is the notion that the past is irrevocably gone, unable to be altered or rewritten. To truly heal, one must confront a fundamental truth: the past is irrevocably gone. Acknowledging this reality allows us to free ourselves from the shackles of nostalgia, regret, or bitterness that can hinder the healing process. While the memories of our wounds may persist, accepting that the past cannot be changed enables us to focus on the present and shape our future. By directing our energy toward personal growth, forgiveness, and self-compassion, we create an environment conducive to healing. Let us delve into the concept of "time." It is often

Zen Meditation, Self-Hypnosis and Healing

“Not thinking about anything is Zen. Once you know this, walking, sitting, or lying down, everything you do is Zen.” – Bodhidharma by Michael Corthell Self-hypnosis occurs quite naturally in a relaxed state of mind. It takes place when a person purposefully and repeatedly thinks positive (or negative) thoughts and at the same time mixes these repetitious thoughts with strong, passionate emotions. In this way the thoughts and ideas become imprinted on the subconscious mind .  Your subconscious mind is very gullible, but is like a child; it needs to be told a thing multiple times so that it can be remembered. The self-induced hypnotic state can be clearly and simply defined as a heightened state of focused concentration. With auto or self-suggestion, you can change your thinking, reduce or quit bad habits, and take control of the person you are, as well as just relaxing and de-stressing from the worry and tension of everyday life. In short you can chan

The Law of Attraction: How to Manifest Healing for Yourself or Someone You Love

' ''The Law of Attraction is always active, day and night. It doesn't discriminate based on whether you're being naughty or nice; it simply responds to your thoughts and actions. However, if you focus your thoughts intentionally, especially in a positive manner, and truly believe and feel that you're attracting good things for yourself or others, then you will almost certainly manifest them.'' -  Michael Corthell The Law of Attraction is the belief that our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs create our reality. This means that if we focus on positive thoughts and feelings, we will attract positive experiences into our lives. Conversely, if we focus on negative thoughts and feelings, we will attract negative experiences. This law can be used to manifest healing in ourselves or someone we love. By visualizing the person being healed, we can send them positive energy and help them to overcome their illness or injury. How to Use the Law of Attraction to Manifes

Exploring the Connection Between Homeostasis and the Mind-Body Healing Process

"Through the power of faith, positive thinking, and the subconscious mind, we can unlock the connection between homeostasis and healing, tapping into our innate capacity for self-restoration and holistic well-being." Michael Corthell Within the areas of spirituality and personal development, profound teachings from figures like Jesus Christ, Mary Baker Eddy , and other proponents of New Thought emphasize the potential connection between homeostasis and the mind-body healing process.  By delving deeper into the concepts of faith, positive thinking , and the subconscious mind, and exploring potential underlying mechanisms, we can shed light on how these elements influence physiological processes and facilitate healing. This article aims to explore the transformative power of faith and the subconscious mind, as well as the role of positive thinking, in promoting homeostasis and facilitating healing responses within the body. Healing Illness with the Power of the Subconscious Mind

The human body possesses an enormous, astonishing, and persistent capacity to heal itself. by Michael Corthell Your subconscious mind, the very gullible part of your mind that will believe anything you tell it, is there to inspire and guide you. It controls your heart, circulation of blood, regulates your digestive, takes in, (and believes everything) and releases information. It also controls all the processes and functions of your body and it basically knows the answers to all your body's problems. It guards your life and restores you to health. It never sleeps or rests, it is active and working for you 24/7. The best part? You can tell it what to do! So why not use it? Healing yourself is strongly connected with others. Healing begins through loving your neighbors and forgiving your enemies.   Your subconscious has made your body what it is and, therefore, can recreate it — it knows how to heal, through positive thought. Healing is a partnership. Healing begins

Compassion, Kindness, Empathy and The Healing Practice of Deep Listening

by Michael Corthell    I think that we can all agree that healing is an act of kindness, as well as an act of love. The very first step in healing is to know what needs to be healed. To do that we have to listen and listen deeply, without distraction or any negativity. Deeply listening with kindness and compassion is undoubtedly the most powerful act of human healing and change. Compassion is a virtue that all good human beings have, and it is this virtue that provides the motivation for wanting to heal. In order to heal others, we must first heal ourselves, especially our emotional minds. Those of us who have been self-criticizing for years, need only to stop and start affirming ourselves. People who make that switch from self-negation to self-affirmation are truly transformed human beings, who then, are well on their way to self-enlightenment. Several research studies have shown that when you practice and feel compassion, your heart rate slows down, you

Healing Illness with the Power of the Subconscious Mind

[Listen}...to me!

“When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen.” ― Ernest Hemingway Sometimes all people want is an empathetic person to listen to them. By offering to listen and by trying to understand with your heart, that simple act may be all it takes to start the process of healing in a suffering person. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ― Leo Buscaglia

[Good Health] Believe it...

The power that formed the body heals the body. Whether or not you believe in a divine source, there's no denying that something exists in a living thing that doesn't exist in something no longer living. From a dead body to a dead branch on the ground, the life force just isn’t there any longer. That force permeates and connects us all; plant, animal and human. That is equality. Holding onto the past we delay all healing, mental and physical. The sooner we heal the abuse(through forgiveness), the sooner we free ourselves from the people who harmed us. By hating them, we only hold onto the hurt. We cannot heal unless we unchain ourselves from the hate.

Can We Faith Heal Ourselves?

by Michael Corthell This article is about healing, but not in the traditional Western sense. It is not a substitute for licensed medical advice. This article is about having belief and faith—knowing that healing is a partnership between God and the individual. ''Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'' '' Rise and go; your faith has made you well.'' —Jesus (God incarnate) Jesus also says, 'Your faith has made you well', to the ten lepers and a blind beggar. Other times Jesus links faith and healing without using the exact words, 'Your faith has made you well,'' such as in Matthew 8:13 and 15:28 .   '' Then Jesus said to the centurion, '' Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.'' And his servant was healed at that moment.'' and, also: Then Jesus said to her, '' Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.'
