Can We Faith Heal Ourselves?

by Michael Corthell

This article is about healing, but not in the traditional Western sense. It is not a substitute for licensed medical advice. This article is about having belief and faith—knowing that healing is a partnership between God and the individual.

''Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.''
''
Rise and go; your faith has made you well.''
—Jesus (God incarnate)

Jesus also says, 'Your faith has made you well', to the ten lepers and a blind beggar. Other times Jesus links faith and healing without using the exact words, 'Your faith has made you well,'' such as in Matthew 8:13 and 15:28 ''Then Jesus said to the centurion, ''Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.'' And his servant was healed at that moment.'' and, also: Then Jesus said to her, ''Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.'' And her daughter was healed at that moment.''

What exactly did Jesus mean when He told people, ''Your faith has made you well''?

Healing is a direct partnership with the first cause, the prime mover (God) through faith and trust in Him. Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate, clearly states this partnership in the above scripture passages.

Let's look at healing faith and partnership in a little more detail.

Faith. Solid faith that God will heal us, is the primary ingredient. Without that foundational, rock solid faith healing may not take place right away or even at all. For example, Jesus was unable to do miracles in his hometown because the people lacked faith (but he was still able to heal with His will alone—a very important point). With faith, Jesus tells us that "Nothing will be impossible for you".

''A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries up the bones.''
—King Solomon

Prayer. You are more likely to get something if you ask for sincerely, and with unwavering faith you will receive it. Jesus told his disciples to pray night and day and to never give up (pray without ceasing). He also told us to have the elders of the church pray for us (combining, supporting faith).

Eating healthy foods. In the Christian Bible there are two diets suggested by God for mankind. The first is in the beginning in Genesis. This is a 100% plant based (Vegan) diet. The second is also in Genesis but after the Flood, given to Noah, when God dictated the addition of animal flesh and products. This change in diet resulted in a lowering of the human lifespan by 90%, on average. By going back to the original diet you can 'restore the temple of God', (your body).

''Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.''
—Hippocrates

Love, Compassion and Forgiveness. The two great commandments of God that encompass, and overarch the ten, are love. Love your Creator with all you have in you, and also love your fellow man as you love yourself.  Love and forgive each other is healing for the soul, the body and the spirit. Love is God's primary command. God is love. Love is healing.

Good Primary and Specialty Medical Care. God works His miracles in many ways and through all people. Today's medical community has a lot to offer. Use it and use it wisely with discretion and wisdom.

Lastly, the true secret again revolves around love and just what unconditional love is. Unconditional love is love with 'no strings attached'. In Greek, it is called 'agape'. Agape is used to describe the love that is of, and from God, whose very nature is love itself: ''God is love'' (1 John 4:8).

Loving forgiveness is at the core of faith and turning on the power of healing:

Again, God incarnate:

''Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. ''Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.''

Love and forgiveness holds the key to your own healing.

Is there scientific proof we can heal ourselves?
by Lissa Rankin, MD

People from the faithful to new age gurus suggest that we can heal ourselves by simply changing our minds (believing that we will be healed), but is this concept grounded in cold, hard science? Lissa Rankin, MD explores the scientific literature, reviewing case studies of spontaneous remission, as well as placebo and nocebo effect data, to prove that our thoughts powerfully affect our physiology when we believe we can get well.

Veganism, Albert Einstein and ''The Connected Universe''

"We are spiritually interconnected, part of a unified whole. There are no 'others,' only One, from which all emanates." Michael Corthell Albert Einstein is one of the most famous figures in history. He was a scientist known for his formula, E=MC(2). Einstein was a vegetarian during the last years of his life, although he had supported the idea for a long time. In a letter to Max Kariel he said, "I have always eaten animal flesh with a somewhat guilty conscience," and soon after became a vegetarian. A SIMPLIFIED Guide to Manifest Anything You Desire

"Embrace New Thought principles in a concise journey toward manifestation. Align your desires with purpose, weaving simplicity and intention into a tapestry of fulfillment. Manifest wisely, manifest consciously." Michael Corthell Following these three fundamental steps will set you on the path to achieving the life you've always envisioned and accomplishing your desired goals. The primary component in manifesting any desire is faith or belief that the desire is ALREADY in existence, plus feeling the joy and gratitude associated with the realization of the desire fulfilled. 1. Be clear on what you want What’s your goal? Is it about spending more time with your family? Is it about having more money? Do you want more power or control over your life? More happiness? The number one rule in manifesting what you want is to know exactly what you want. 2. Visualize what you desire Picture where you want to be, how you want to be, or what you desire. Be very specific about this. Ma
