Oneness is The Foundation of Equality: The Spirit is Neither Male nor Female

by Michael Corthell Studies have  shown  there is much less of a difference in male/female behavior than you might think. A comparison of several of these studies has also shown, that none of these gender stereotypes we experience has any basis in fact. Also, other research  in neuroscience illustrates that there is no difference between the female brain and the male brain at birth . It can therefore be rightly assumed that the family dynamic, plus societal influences, mold gender behaviors. When we think of ourselves strictly in human, gender-based terms, we are not really seeing the true nature of ourselves. ''I am not an angel," I asserted; "and I will not be one till I die: I will be myself.'' ― Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre The human soul is created by God and is eternal from it's creation, and is in the image of God. When Jesus (God incarnate) was speaking about the subject of marriage in Heaven, He made it very clear

The Abortion Debate Isn't About Babies

All human rights are self-evident.   by Michael Corthell The abortion debate isn't about newborns or babies or saving lives.  If it were we'd have universal, free prenatal care. We'd have free universal parental leave for both moms and dads.  If it was really about the welfare of babies, we'd have free diapers and baby formula.  Yes, if the abortion debate was really about the life of the baby it would include the quality of life of the developing child with free childcare, pre-school, and kindergarten.  Rather, what it’s really about is control -- controlling women individually and collectively. It is about taking power away and keeping power for a few. 'Life' is not what actually lies at the root of the abortion debate. It’s about restricting, controlling, and policing women’s bodies. It is about emotional enslavement, and it is abusive.  It is about inequality.  It is about the subjugation of a class of human beings and it has the stench of religious

Propaganda: The Tactic of 'Name-Calling'

Name-calling: abusive language or insults by Michael Corthell Name-Calling is a childish propaganda device that works to make us form a judgment without examining the evidence on which it should be based. Using this tactic the propagandist appeals to our hate and fear.  He does this by giving negative names and labels to those individuals, groups, nations, races, policies, practices, beliefs, and ideals which he would have us condemn and reject. For example, ''Muslims are bigots and full of hate because they supported Proposition 6'' is an attempt at Name-Calling designed to stir up hate and dull reason in individuals who have put little thought into the issue. When you start Name Calling, your argument is lost. The use of Name Calling without presentation of their essential meaning, without all their pertinent implications, comprises is the most common of all propaganda devices. HOW IT WORKS: This propaganda poster, created by the United States in t

Do You Live in a True Democracy?

''In a true democracy, every person can have all they need, all the basics of life plus the highest standard of living possible equal to their peers. If your nation (or global civilization) does not provide for you; the highest-quality universal healthcare, housing, education, transportation, or anything that allows you the opportunity for a safe, happy, and fulfilling life, you are not free and do not live in a true democracy. Why? Because morally and ethically all of the Earth's resources are the common inheritance of all the world's people and should be shared equally for the benefit of all the Earth's inhabitants.'' During wars and even natural disasters, even the most respectable people can be seen fighting over food and resources -- that's because when a person's basic needs are not met, they resort to whatever behavior is necessary to ensure the necessities of life for themselves and their families. By making the necessities of life available
