How To Become Wealthy (Step-by-Step)

by Michael Corthell

Are you 'money conscious'? Do you appreciate the abundance of this world. Do you know in your heart that there is enough to go around? Do you have a white hot, burning desire to attain riches and be wealthy beyond your dreams? Good, then can become a very wealth person. If you are not money conscious you will have a difficult time getting much beyond your basic needs.

Most people go through their lives with a negative money mindset meaning we think about the scarcity of money rather than the abundance of money. We have been brought up to believe certain derogatory things about money, which in turn, prevents us from attracting abundance into our lives.

Repeating worn phrases and idioms such as 'The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.', 'Another day, another dollar', 'more money, more problems', all have a net negative effect and only hold a person back from attracting riches.

Let's look at how, step by step, you can develop a prosperity/abundance mindset, using Napoleon Hill's basic outline.

Hill wrote one of the best selling books of all time, "Think and Grow Rich," in 1937 at the height of the Great Depression. Its ideas and plans for wealth attainment are as fresh today, as they were then.

"Wishing will not bring riches, but desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways and means to acquire riches, and backing those plans with persistence which does not recognize failure, will bring riches."
—Napoleon Hill

Here are the six steps in turning a desire for wealth into "its financial equivalent":

1. First
Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say “I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount. (THIS IS IMPORTANT)

2. Second
Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.")

3. Third
Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

4. Fourth
Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

5. Fifth
Write a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

6. Sixth
Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ, SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION and CONTROL OF YOUR MONEY.

It seems simple and it is, but if you actually compare this to just about any contemporary personal finance guide, you'll find exactly these same basic steps. The modern versions just come with a lot more fancy packaging. (for marketing purposes and making money!).

Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, reminds us that one of the best ways to achieve true financial success is to understand that our emotions can get in the way of our success. It is our state of mind is what keeps us from succeeding. He tells us in a simple way what we need to do—we simply need a plan and follow that plan.

Hill leaves us with this, "When RICHES take the place of poverty, the change is usually brought about through well conceived and carefully executed plans, poverty needs no plan. POVERTY needs no one to aid it, because it is bold and ruthless. Riches are shy and timid. They have to be 'attracted.''

Very financially successful people report that earning money is not the hard part. Instead, it is the faith and belief that bringing more money into your life is indeed possible. If you don’t believe it, it will never happen.

One last thing. Money is not the root of all evil(the love of money is), it is only a tool and a means of exchange. Most people 'sell' their time by working for wages, others sell things or ideas. Some sell money (investing).

Buying and selling plus time. However as Ebenezer Scrooge learned, the LOVE of money is indeed the root of all evil because it is itself rooted in pride which is the greatest sin of man.

Understanding The Universal Law of Compensation

''The wings of Time are black and white, Pied with morning and with night. Mountain tall and ocean deep Trembling balance duly keep.'' — Ralph Waldo Emerson This stanza from 'Compensation' conveys the idea that time is a blend of contrasting experiences, marked by both light and darkness. The phrase "wings of Time" symbolizes the passage of time, which encompasses both positive (morning) and negative (night) aspects. The mention of "Mountain tall and ocean deep" suggests the vast and varied dimensions of existence. The imagery of "Trembling balance duly keep" underscores the delicate equilibrium that is maintained despite these opposing forces. Overall, the stanza highlights the duality and balance inherent in the passage of time and the world's diverse experiences. _____ ''The Universe always seeks to balance itself, in fact, it demands it.''  — Michael Corthell None of us can avoid the consequen

A SIMPLIFIED Guide to Manifest Anything You Desire

"Embrace New Thought principles in a concise journey toward manifestation. Align your desires with purpose, weaving simplicity and intention into a tapestry of fulfillment. Manifest wisely, manifest consciously." Michael Corthell Following these three fundamental steps will set you on the path to achieving the life you've always envisioned and accomplishing your desired goals. The primary component in manifesting any desire is faith or belief that the desire is ALREADY in existence, plus feeling the joy and gratitude associated with the realization of the desire fulfilled. 1. Be clear on what you want What’s your goal? Is it about spending more time with your family? Is it about having more money? Do you want more power or control over your life? More happiness? The number one rule in manifesting what you want is to know exactly what you want. 2. Visualize what you desire Picture where you want to be, how you want to be, or what you desire. Be very specific about this. Ma

How Small Acts of Kindness Change You and the World

A peaceful world really comes down to choice because we all carry with us, as human beings, not just the capacity to be kind, but the choice to be kind. by Michael Corthell ''This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.''  — Dalai Lama Kindness is defined by most folks as a behavior marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as a virtue and recognized as something of high social value in almost all cultures and religions.  What does kindness mean to you? Am I kind enough in this topsy-turvy world? Is it even possible to practice kindness consistently? Everyone has heard the Golden Rule , but not everyone takes it to heart. Kindness often gets overlooked as a sign of weakness, and to an extent, it can be—there is such a thing as being too nice. But a little kindness can still go a
